Nelu Neacsu

Nelu is the founder and president of European Academy of the Regions (http://ear-aer.eu/) since 2014. He has more than 17 years of experience in European affairs, being Brussels Representative of the National Union of Romanian Employers to European Union (www.unpr.ro) for 10 years, Head of Office of MEP, and alternate member of the European Economic Social Committee. He is also member of the Advisory Board of the Association for regional development Balkan Economic Forum (www.balkaneconomicforum.org). In addition, he was a member of the presidency (Co-Treasurer and Treasurer) of the SME Union of the EPP from 2009 to 2011, is a founding member of the Romania-Belgium Business Club (www.romania-belgium-bc.com), and former vice-president of the Club Romania -EU. He graduated the Military Naval Academy “Mircea cel Batran” Constanta, Romania (https://www.anmb.ro/eng/) and served as officer in the Romanian Naval Forces.

Dr. Nicolas Kyriakides

Nicolas is the Founder and Head of the Steering Committee of the Cyprus Forum (https://cyprusforum.cy/). He is a lawyer and academic with a strong interest in policymaking. He is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he holds postgraduate degrees from UCL and NYU and a PhD (DPhil) from the University of Oxford. He has also been a visiting researcher at Harvard University. He teaches at the University of Nicosia and has contributed to a number of high level innovative legal research initiatives and papers in the course of both his commercial practice and his academic life, such as the Procedural Law Unit at the University of Nicosia. He is also a founding member of the non-profit organization Oxygono.

Sotiris Karagiannis

Sotiris is managing the Graduate Business Programs of the University of New York in Prague.  His areas of expertise include Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Human Resources Management and Research Methods. Currently he is also the Director and Senior Trainer of Change-to-Bel Ltd, a London-based training and consultancy firm whose mission is to help people embrace positive change at work or in life. In his three decades of work experience as an academic lecturer and corporate trainer, he has trained professionals in various countries like US, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, and North Macedonia. His training portfolio includes companies like Apple, Bayer, Swarowski, 3M, Janssen, Johnson&Johnson, Astra Zeneca, Novartis, CSL Behring, Ericsson, Oracle, Viohalco Group, Danone, Elbisco, TUI, Quest Group, Sfakianakis Group of Companies, A-B Vassilopoulos, Carrefour. Sotiris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American College of Greece, a Master’s in Education from Lesley University, Boston and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
